a poem that gives its own answer
morning nap
i met my roommate's boyfriend on the stairs
his eyes still crusted with sleep
he slid off his shoes
set down his bag
and walked to the room of my dozing cohabitator
as he closed the door and climbed in her bed
i wonder
what makes a man do that?
leave his own nest
warm from his own safty
and curl up
joined in the arms of another

I like this one! (Except I couldn't get over his crusty eyes. Gross, man.) Sometimes, like now, I miss not living with my boyfriend. Some opportunities for sweetness kind of go away when you move in together.
(p.s. I feel a little strange commenting on your blog when I know you're just down the hall.)
eewwww...lucas's crusty eyes...haha. (am i allowed to say his name on here? i'm not sure...). but yeah, i sometimes wonder what makes my guy come over at night just to sleep next to me. i'm not that special... :)
I don't care if you use his name, but he might.
Also, I didn't actually see crust on his eye this morning. I wasn't looking that closely. It was just a way of visually describing how early it was.
I kind of thought that was what you were getting at...but I couldn't get the literal image out of my head.
This is disgustingly cute! Lucas is Kt's puppy dog.
